This Pub is Temporarily Closed

Closed in April 2024 and the pub freehold purchased by Sir Charles Hobhouse, who lives in the village and was High Sheriff of Wiltshire between 2021 and 2022. The pub was then leased to local company Beckford Group who run two other upmarket pubs in the area.

Planned reopening is "spring 2026".

2024: A smartand historic pub in a delightful old 17C building, with a courtyard at the front, a large garden, overlooking the countryside, at the rear, and a covered area next to the garden. Inside there is a large L shaped room for drinking and dining. There are four rooms if you wish to stay overnight.
