Cosy traditional pub dating from 1887 located in a quieter quarter of the town. Listed as a Building of Local Interest; it has undergone a renovation and reopened in November 2018.

The pub is the brewery tap for the on-site Horbury Brew Co brewery - four of their beers are available (as well as one one brewed by the pub management on the Horbury Brew Co kit which appears under the name Cherry Tree Brew Co).

The pub also serves Beavertown Gamma Ray and Neck Oil (The pub has a trading agreement with Beavertown Brewery. In the beer garden there is a Beavertown bar and and the tables feature Beavertown parasols)
