Situated in the heart of the village, this 1860s stone built, family owned free house remains popular with locals and visitors. The five cask handpumps are all located in the rear lounge area of the two room pub. Good-value food is served some lunchtimes and most evenings (except Mon and Sun eve) and there are occasional music events, usually around Public Holidays. Sporting events are shown on large screens. There is a small car park and an outdoor seating area at the front.

There IS step free access, but there is NOT an accessible toilet. Step free route is via the rear, road side, door into the lounge, which has a small ramp. The main, front entrance has one step down into the pub, just inside the front door. The two public rooms are flat throughout. But the gents toilet has one "half step" (approx. 40mm height) immediately inside the door.
