Historic stone-faced country pub dating back to 1824, and still welcoming locals, walkers and tourists alike. The pub was taken under new independent ownership on May 18, 2024. It's located in a wooded valley amongst lovely walking countryside.
It has a long lounge at the front, mainly used for the restaurant, where a wide selection of meals are offered, although it can be used by drinkers in quieter times. This also has an additional extended raised seating area, in what was the old stables.
There is also a smaller rear bar, called the Lucky Shot! This is the main drinkers area and has recently been reconfigured into a country snug "pub within a pub"! All areas are comfortably furnished and are decorated with lots interesting hunting trophies and pictures of local Gower historic and countryside scenes.
The pub usually offer three handpumps, two are always local real ales, the third is often used for a real cider in the warmer seasons. There is a large beer garden, which is reasonably quiet despite being alongside a busy road.
