From their Facebook page on 21 January 2023 "Unfortunately the Taj Clubhouse is no longer operating from the Watlington Club and has vacated the Club premises. The Watlington Club remain committed to growing opportunities to best serve the Watlington community and look forward to working with the community to find a suitable replacement tenant."

The bar is temporarily closed - as at 15 February 2023, 8 March 2023 and 9 April 2024 the date for reopening with a new operator is not known.

Historic Interest

Historic England Grade II listed, entry number 1059408. Originally a house. Built mid-18th century, remodelled and rear ranges built in early 19th century. Purchased in early 1920s and placed it in trust for the benefit of the residents of Watlington, originally as the 'War Memorial Club'.
