At the end of the High Street, overlooking the canal, the pub is a free house with cask ales from Wye Valley, local and national breweries. It offers a changing selection of excellent beers and two ciders on hand pull which may sometimes be real.
The main bar has low-beamed ceilings and cosy corners. Upstairs, the additional seating area and function room was originally a chapel and retains many recognisable features and windows.
At the back, the beer garden overlooks the canal and has a shelter, tables and raised flower beds. Moorings are just through the bridge towards the basins.
The varied home-cooked food menu includes doorstep sandwiches, baguettes, steaks, fish, vegan and vegetarian meals, and everything in between. Food is served all week except on Mondays and on Sunday evenings.
It won Wyre Forest CAMRA Silver Pub of the Year 2018, Gold in 2020 and Bronze in 2023 for its friendly welcome, lively atmosphere, music events and excellent quality beers.
Cycles can be locked to bars at the top of the ramp from the towpath.
