This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Members' bowling club established in 1870. During the summer it opens on four days each week, depending upon bowling league competitions. It's usually open all year on Wednesday evenings.
The green has six rinks maintained to an exceptionally high quality. There is a shelter and bench tables along one side for enjoying the summer warmth and the bowling. The clubhouse is used during matches, for practice sessions, quizzes, bingo and there are also regular local clubs that use it during the day.
The room is available for hire for private events and parties, and there is 10 pin bowling available.
Due to limited opening hours there are no draught beers on the bar but there are plenty of bottles and cans in the fridge, including Hobgoblin, as well as wine, spirits and low-alcohol drinks.
New members are always welcome.
