Popular main road pub with a friendly atmosphere, offering two continuously changing guest beers. Beyond the cosy bar area is a large extension mainly dedicated for eating food. The menu consists of traditional and modern pub fayre with specials offering more variety.

Outside is a small patio and garden with benches and a small children's play area. There is also a large covered smoking area (with TV when sport events are on), plus a gazebo for non-smokers. The pub holds two annual beer festivals during the late May and August bank holidays.
