Stroud's newest micropub, The Town Owl Taphouse opened 23rd September 2023 in the High Street in the premises of the former Socialite Café & Bar.

The Town Owl Taphouse specialises in craft keg as well as cider & alcohol free beer from around Gloucestershire.

There are 8 taps providing a rotating selection of the best beers, the most of which from the local area, with a typical style line-up of: a lager, two IPAs, two pale, any two of red/stout/sour, and a cider. A wide selection of cans are also available for take out.

Food is not offered but you are welcome to bring food in from one of the many takeaways nearby

Other tastes are catered for with some select wines and spirits.

The name is from the poem Town Owl, written by the well known local poet Laurie Lee.
