This attractive 300-year old stone-built village local is in the centre of the village on the Cotswold Way. following major refurbishment, the pub has been a free house. The single room is dominated by a polished hewn oak bar counter and divided into separate distinct drinking areas, with plenty of seating on benches and at tables. It has up to six real ale handpumps and three for cider. A wood burning stove provides heating in the winter. The pub serves high-quality 'traditional food with a modern twist'. There are outdoor seating areas to the front and side. The pub, in its previous incarnation, was formerly a local CAMRA Pub of the Year.
