A short walk through the back streets is all you need to find this pub in the 'Gateway to the Isles'. It is a traditional pub with an impressive island bar and remarkable elephantine brass features. The sheltered garden area is a rarity. A good selection of food is also available. Real ale was occasionally offered after reopening following Covid lockdowns but this ceased in the spring of 2022.
