A traditional local pub, this is the only regular outlet for the Witham No Name beer from WHARF Brewery . Set in a conservation area, the building probably dates from the 15th century. It has two rooms with low wooden beams and a real log fire in winter. Up to two guests ales, usually from the local area and often including a dark beer, are served predominantly on gravity. An extensive collection of glass soda syphon bottles is a notable feature.

One small step into the pub with no handrails. A further one step internally to get to bar. There are no handrails here but internal beams could be used to steady self on step. No accessible toilet on the premises however landlord has advised previous patrons in a wheelchair were, with support, able to negotiate the steps and use one of the single toilet cubicles (female). No hand rails in place but cubicle is spacious. Nearest disabled parking: Morrisons Carpark or White Horse Lane public carpark 0.3 miles away.
