A welcoming and cosy village pub, whose landlord is a real ale enthusiast. Rebuilt around 1900 and extended in the 1930s, there is a split level bar with various cosy areas. The spacious enclosed garden has a patio area leading up to the lawn. Summer barbecues are an occasional added attraction.
The pub hosts many events, some of which are held to benefit local charities - for the latest information use the pub's social media. Seasonal beers from Shepherd Neame are sometimes available.

Historic Interest
Dating from the early 19th C., this former beer-house was built in traditional Kentish weatherboard style. Later owned by the Oak Brewery in nearby Green Street Green, the pub sold their Fox & Sons Ales. This became a free house when the brewery sold the pub in 1901. At that point, the beer was then supplied by Courage. The top bar appeared following the rebuild in the early 1900s with the weatherboarded exterior replaced, whilst the original bottom bar was extended in the 1930s. The pub was then owned by Courage in 1945 until it was sold following the Beer Order Acts in 1989.
