This Pub is Closed Long Term

THIS PUB CLOSED IN 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS.

When visited in June 2025, it remained closed although the exterior stonework had been cleaned and refurbishment works was taking place inside. In January 2026, the pub name and sign had been reinstalled on the exterior and internal refurbishment work was continuing. Things are looking up but there is still no confirmation as to when it will re-open.

Semi-open plan locals pub but retaining a multi-room feel. It's location high above Thornton village gives panoramic views of the valley from the lounge.
