Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley Keg pub called the Wheatsheaf, In the summer of 1986 it was to be refurbished and renamed Serendipitys. However by September 1986 the refurbishment was delayed, and it was January 1987 before it reopened and it was still a keg only pub. However by the summer of 1994 the Greenalls was still keg, but it was now selling Tetley Bitter. However by April 1995 the Pub was expected to close and had done so by June 1995.
