This Pub is Closed Long Term

There used to be nowhere else quite like the Victoria. The bar is unchanged for many decades and the pub was a treasure trove of decorations that include ultra-violet lighting in the games room, a sign to “Bedrooms 50-70” and the back half of a fox.. Used to feature in CAMRA’s “Historic Pubs of Yorkshire & Humberside”, regarded as "a historic pub interior of some regional importance", but under new criteria has been withdrawn. Currently closed, and has been since Lockdown; although the landlord has affirmed an intention to reopen, there is little sign of it.
