Gloucester's first micro pub which relocated from Southgate Street in April 2022.
Unashamedly focussed on the beer and cider with no distractions. The walls are adorned with previous pump clips telling the story of great beers served.
Light streams in from larger glass windows on both floors. Downstairs there is a central bar area with seating around and a further room to the rear with a piano and comfy sofa. Upstairs there is more space with two adjoining rooms which may be used for functions. A real fire is to be found in one of these.
Keeps a wide selection of bag in box ciders (15 when surveyed), though all were from main stream producers such as Lilleys, Westons and Thatchers that do not meet the criteria to be considered real (real = made from pressed apples only not concentrate/with added sugar).
For technophobes this is the pub, as mobile phones are really not encouraged, no WiFi, and no social media in any form.
This is an adult pub with no children allowed.
Venue is cash only with no card facilities.
Usual snack food available and cheese and onion rolls, you are welcome to bring your own food in.
