This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Toft Social Club was established in late 1999 in response to the village pub being converted to a restaurant. The club opens Thursday, Friday and most, but not all, Saturdays in the People's Hall which until 1959 had been the village school. Check their website to be sure about Saturdays. One real ale, cider and bottled beers as well as wine etc are available. The volunteer run club organises film nights, music and drama events, themed food nights, quiz nights, bingo, bowls and much more. Life membership for Toft residents (population 500 including children in 2011) and those employed in the village is £1. Associate membership for other adults is £10 per year. Non-members visiting infrequently need to be signed in by a member.
Their annual beer festival is in early September and has been running since 2005. It offers 13 or more regionally brewed real ales (at least 1 gluten-free) and at least 3 local ciders plus home cooked food. It is free to attend and is open to non-members. Beer is less than £3 a pint.
The Beer Festival team were Cambridge & District CAMRA's Real Ale Champions in 2020.
This Club serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
