Attractive, spacious, 17th century building, perhaps the oldest building in the village apart from the church, has been trading as pub since 1737. Large gardens front and back. The main bar is on two levels and has stone-flagged floors, plentiful beams and fireplaces at each end. The conservatory to the left can be used for functins. Most tables are given over to diners but there is a pleasant drinking area in front of the bar. The contemporary decorative scheme works well. Its two handpumps offer Greene King Abbott and Timothy Taylor Landlord.
New licensees arrived in late May 2023 aiming to run a traditional country pub and Italian restaurant. Two pizzas for the price of one on Mondays. Sunday roasts available until 8pm.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
