Reopened after a very long closure in January 2023. High quality refurbishment by Caldmore Taverns including Rooftop Terrace. Six cask beers available. Early Bird offer of £3 pint of house cask beer from Mon-Fri till 4pm. On Tuesdays any two cask ales for £6 all day. Pub games (eg Carrooka), darts and pool available. A pleasant two mile walk from Congleton station along the Macclesfield canal and then down onto the Biddulph Valley Way. 200 yards from Congleton end of Biddulph Valley Way. There is a Bingo night on the first Tuesday (6pm), and a Quiz Night on the last Thursday (7pm). Supports a Pool Team, Darts Team and sponsors local football team.
