Another Shepherd Neame pub due to be sold.

Welcoming traditional locals' pub, just a two-minute walk from Maidstone East station and opposite Maidstone Prison. Two regular well-kept Shepherd Neame beers with seasonal ales. The pub dates back to 1840 and was extended in the 1960s by incorporating the adjoining property. To the right and down a step is a drinking area with a stone-flagged floor leading towards the toilet facilities. To the left is a TV and a dartboard is available. The garden has several picnic tables. Occasional live music at weekends
