This Pub is Permanently Closed
Demolished 2016.
This pub, which dates from 1750, has a particularly pleasant modern interior, comprising wooden floors, light wood tables, and comfy seating. Primarily an eating establishment, most of the pub is set out for dining, with a smaller, lower-level area, for non-diners. The food on offer is of a high standard, all being prepared on-site using fresh ingredients, with meat from a local butcher and fish from Grimsby. Both modern and traditional English dishes are available, and are generally available during the opening hours (up until 10 in the evening). There are occasional live music nights. Note that the pub is not open Sunday evenings.
