The Grade II listed Crown started life as two cottages and dates from the 16th century. The inn was a hostelry for some time and was known to supply beer to cottages in the area. Rumour has it that Charles II would often call in at The Crown for a drink when visiting his mistress Nell Gwynn at Holyport. Although the pub majors on food you can enjoy real ale in the bar area.
