This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

The Stourton and Kilmington Home Guard club is full of history, and stands on the original site of The Jolly Drover. Circa 1839- 1890. It is presumed the Jolly Drover was a public house, used by those who drove their animals on the east west road to Wilton and then Salisbury. During World War 2 it became a meeting place for the Wiltshire Home Guard in the house that now sits in the grounds. The present club house was built in 1966, becoming a popular social club to members and space for family groups. Since being established in the 1940's the Stourton and Kilmington Home Guard Club has been known for its unrivalled warmth, excellent skittle alley and drive to ensure customer and member satisfaction, whilst maintaining the history of the club and its surroundings. It sits within The National Trust estate of Stourhead, in close proximity to both the house and Gardens (fashioned by Henry Hoare ll) and the stunning and popular King Alfreds tower. Perfect for a walk and a pint. Members pay £20 annually (Single over 18) or £35 Joint (family, 2 adults and includes under 18's) to enjoy the village club and all it has to offer. Not only does it have a fully licensed bar, stocked with local drinks - including Lilley's ciders and Bath Gem ales and a range of draught beers, lagers and ciders. The club has recently undergone a facelift, offering a modern, bright and clean function hall for parties, events and gatherings. To the rear of the building is a vast and spacious garden with an outdoor bar and BBQ area, that boast impressive views over the Wiltshire countryside.
