Dating from at least 1877, Yates's Castle Brewery pub, John Smiths then pub swap transferred ownership to Wilsons in May 1979. Described in 1980 as a friendly local with wall-to-wall photos of Liverpool FC players The photo is from 1979. Still trading though the1980s. Demolished about 2013.
