Historic Interest

Birkenhead Brewery purchased the pub in 1874, originally known as the Iron House, changed name to the Sailor's Home and then to the Dolphin by 1892. Serving Whitbread beers into the 1980s. Later changed to the Royal Hotel before it was closed. Converted to residential flats in 2012.
