Country pub and restaurant. Accredited for beer quality 2024
An old pub dating from the 1830s, originally cottages, having a comfortable modern style. The restaurant serves home-cooked meals sourced from local free-range ingredients during the day and evenings, except Sunday evenings. The main meal menu features pub classics, quality burgers and interesting home-made pizzas. The pub is closed on Mondays, except bank holidays, and Tuesdays.
There are usually three beers on hand pulls including at least one from a local brewery. Often supplied by the breweries in pins, the quality is good and the variety changes.
It's handy for the adjacent country walk along the old railway line as far as Stourport, once part of the Severn Valley line through to Bewdley and beyond. Car parking is immediately opposite for users of the pub, near the riverside garden.
Live music in the bar, and sometimes by the riverside in summer; see FaceBook for details.
A very unusaul feature is a rock cave at the back, which can be peered into from the enclosed garden and smoking area.
Level access to the bar and restaurant can be arranged through the side entrance. Call staff for assistance. Stepped access to WCs (not adapted).
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
