This free house is situated in a village location and changed its name in March 2023. Seating is in the main bar or the courtyard garden and other outside seating is available on the other side of the road to the pub itself adjacent to the car park. In the separate restaurant area to the rear of the pub a traditional pub menu is available providing food cooked to order. Green Jack ales are served on gravity from the tap room.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal on Jan-07 1843 when Harriet & Robert Bettram were the landlord & landlady states that 11 knives & 8 forks were stolen from the pub. The accused was found guilty & sentenced to 6 months hard labour. A report in the Ipswich Journal on Mar 16 1850 when Mr. Bettram was the landlord states that he was a witness in a case of theft at a house in Homersfield.
