This Pub is Permanently Closed
Still a two bar pub though an archway now connects the public to the left and the lounge to the right. A welcoming locals pub, tastefully modernised over the years but keeping the 'Richmond Inn' etched windows. A function room hosts Southampton's weekly folk club, The Fo'c'sle on Friday nights. No food Tue-Thu or in the evenings, except for Tuesday's Quiz & Curry night. Loyalty card scheme on real ales.
Note that the opening hours shown are 'winter' hours. Hours for the rest of the year are tba.
Historic Interest
Built 1878 as one bar pub, converted to 2 in the 1960's (ornate coving shows original walls). Owned by Winchester Brewery & subsumed by Marston's (1923) & then Greene King (1999)
