Traditional pub with displays of hanging baskets on the front patio in summer. A Hook Norton pub, the changing beer comes from their seasonal range. It is a very pleasant village pub with a modern conservatory-style dining area to the rear, good food with Sunday roasts and a TV which is wheeled out for major sporting events. Approximately one mile from Heyford station and the Oxford canal. The car park is before the pub, if arriving from the main road.
Historic Interest
The village of Steeple Aston used to have two Lions, of which only Hook Norton's Red Lion still remains, although the original Red Lion was next door to the current one.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
