16th-century pub and inn, facing towards the charming village marketplace which is a short walk away.

Three handpumps dispense local and national cask beers in the popular cosy bar area, with a real fire glowing in winter. Cotswold stone walls and substantial ancient beams add to the comfortable atmosphere.

With 10 en-suite bedrooms and a restaurant, this is an ideal base to explore the tourist attractions of north Oxfordshire. Alternatively, just watch the world go by from the outside seating in summer.

Breakfast is served until 9.30am.

One of three hotels, the others being in Aynho, and Dorchester-on-Thames.

Historic Interest

Formerly the King's Arms, it was likely to have originated in C16, altered mid C17 and again in the late C18/early C19.
