The Red Lion incorporates all that is best about pubs; cosy and cosseting, warm and comfortable, ideal whatever mood you are in. Four handpulls dispense two regular and two guest beers. Real fires and dog friendly, there is also a very upmarket gazebo at the rear which is strictly non-smoking. Monthly there are quizzes and Irish folk nights, and each year a horticultural show for local produce. It is within walking distance of bridges 52 and 53 of the Shropshire Union Canal.
