Closed Jan 2021, reopened 18/11/22 after community buyout
This village pub off the beaten track was bought by the local community after nearly 2 years closure in 2021-2022, and now run by tenant landlords. It is built in traditional Cornish granite style, and is obviously popular with the locals. It has a large, open-plan L-shaped bar room, with slate-flooring, modernised beamed ceiling supported by a pair of wooden posts, and sparse but tasteful décor including local old photos and prints, and a couple of potted plants. The stone fireplace harbours a wood-burning stove, and a small but separate restaurant area is adjacent. The large beer garden is a summer suntrap, and the car park at the rear is spacious.
