This red ironstone pub dates from the Civil War era, it is near to Edge Hill battle site. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with low beams and a copper hooded stove. Good value tasty food. Popular with walkers, cyclists and locals. Note the duck pond near-by which appears to slope. A good sized car park can be reached through a rather narrow entrance at the side of the pub.
