This is a much expanded seventeenth century coaching inn specialising in high quality home made food, but which also offers a choice from up to four real ales including at least one from a local micro brewery (often Storm Brewing or Beartown). The pub itself is multi-roomed, brick built with timber beams, whilst the restaurant and function room are situated in a half timbered barn with gallery which began life in Wales and was dismantled and reassembled on its present site. Accommodation is motel style originally converted from garages and since extended to give seventeen rooms. The pub is open all day every day with meals served at lunchtimes and evenings. The Congleton-Macclesfield #38 bus service stops right outside the pub.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
