Peacock Lane, Jennetts Park, Bracknell, RG12 8SS (View on Google Map)

Grade II listed farmhouse refurbished in a classic timber style with high vaulted beams throughout. The main entrance contains comfy armchairs and settees along with both traditional and high tables and chairs. A large cabinet holding several books and clocks is an unusual feature here. The bar has six handpumps - three real ales doubled up. All beers are from the Hall & Woodhouse (Badger) portfolio with one being a seasonal ale. Tasting notes can be found displayed on various chalk boards around the premises. There is a ramp up to the main raised dining area. This contains a large palm tree reaching up to the ceiling. At the far end is a log fire with logs placed with precision all around. The food is regionally sourced and high quality. The pub is often very busy at lunchtimes. It is always advisable for diners to book a table especially in the evenings and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Connected to the main dining area is the recently added/refurbished “The Cottage” and the contrast could not be more different. The Cottage has low beams and several “nooks and crannies” for a more intimate, low light drinking and dining experience. Outside is a space containing benches and parasols for fine weather eating and drinking. Dogs are allowed in these outside areas but not in the premises itself. There is no designated smoking area.
