This Pub is Permanently Closed
After many years as an Antiques Shop, 127 Frankwell started serving beer again in 2018, 124 years after previously being a pub. The Old Town Tap consists of a basic ground-level bar with an upstairs lounge area in a 4 storey grade 2* listed building.
Three handpumps plus 10 fonts for various craft/keg ales & ciders. No food is available, though live music is planned, the pub is aiming for an over-25s market. A CAMRA members discount may be implemented if the demand is there!
After an initial foray into real ale, we have repeated reports that there is none. Possible that some of the craft fonts might be KeyKeg.
Historic Interest
The Fox Inn closed in 1894, since when it has been mostly used for retail purposes.
