This Pub is Permanently Closed

The lounge at the rear has a unique ceiling emblazoned with gargoyle like faces and coats of arms, all painstakingly painted in relief. Rather incongruous is the high tech lighting and sound system that has attached itself to this remarkable structure. Outside there is a large car park and drinking area and it will be noticed that the rear of the pub is on stilts over a large floodlit pond with fish in it. The present governor would like to offer a wider selection of real ales but as yet has had no luck from the parent company (Westward Hosts).

This pub has now been demolished with a block of flats built on the site.
