This Pub is Closed Long Term
Labelled a Flour Mill on OS 1875 map and Alsager Mill on the1910 OS map. Roger Finney was the miller in 1912. This was a working mill up until 1950. Later converted to pub use. Access via long lane, lit at night, from main Crewe road. Was part of Coastal and Country (UK Inns) Ltd. Company dissolved in April 2022. Freehold now owned by DEKO Ltd. As of April 2023 still empty premises.
Historic Interest
Originally a corn [flour] mill, dating from the late 1600s, powered by the Valley Brook, with the miller in 1840 being Thomas Holland.
