This Pub is Permanently Closed

The much-missed Norfolk Arms was a small street-corner local just outside the town centre. Prior to 1904 it had been part of the tied estate of Gravesend brewers Walker & Son Ltd, passing to Charrington's on their takeover of Walker's in 1903. It later became a Free House before being acquired by Shepherd Neame in the early 1980s. At that time the Norfolk had a good reputation for the quality of its real ales and was a regular entry in CAMRA's annual Good Beer Guide.

The millennium did not bring good news for the Norfolk - time was called permanently in 2000, and it was subsequently demolished. The site is now occupied by housing.
