Modern corner pub rebuilt in 1966 as part of an office development. The lounge bar has some raised seating. Popular with local office workers. Named after William Newton, a local landowner who built Newton Street in 1636. Four ale handpumps. As of early October 2014 this pub is reported permanently closed for conversion to offices. Planning application 2014/0176/P has been made decided 18 December 2014.
