The New Inn reopened under new management 12th July 2024.
The New Inn has stood at the entrance to Mill Road since 1744, and is an ancient and largely unspoilt country pub with flagstone floor and huge fireplace. Noted for seafood and a popular choice for many residents as well as holidaymakers and seafarers from the picturesque quay on Shalfleet Lake. Located on coastal path. Tables in decked area outside. Consistent winner of Isle of Wight Dining Pub of the year. Parking Limited but additional private parking being negotiated near by. Two real ales on at any one time, and the range rotates weekly.
