This traditional 19th century pub is situated in the beautiful village of Wanborough and is equally popular with locals and visitors. The pub originally had its own brewhouse. The large cellars remain and part form the storage for the modern pub. Inside the pub has a light and airy feel, with an open fire and log-burner to make it cosy in the winter. Four real ales are served, three of them changing guests sourced regionally. Good, honest food is available and there are regular themed evenings including Tapas and Wine & cheese. The highlight of the year is the annual beer festival which raises funds for local charities..
Historic Interest
Dating from 1847 this pub replaced the Old Calley Arms opposite (now a private house) which was named after a local Cavalry officer and MP.
