An aptly named pub, situated on an island between River Calder & Calder & Hebble Navigation. This historic 2-roomed pub attracts towpath dog walkers, boaters and families with small children who enjoy outdoor playground with bouncy castle, as well as indoor attractions in the non-smoking family room. Boats can be moored in front of the pub. Hours shown are those permitted by the pub's licence and off-season and midweek pub may be closed in afternoon.

It's also just a short walk from Calder Vale on the other bank of the river via an interesting tubular footbridge. Offers a changing guest cask ale.

Flooding from nearby waterways necessitated a closure in part of 2016 with subsequent re-opening later that year.
