Gosford is on the edge of Kidlington and this pub should not be confused with the other local pub of the same name! This roadside inn has been much extended, including bizarrely adding a fireplace opposite the entrance, but part of it dates from the 17th century and retains some old features: at the front of the pub on the main road are a set of mounting steps to assist you getting back onto your horse. Now a steak house with cocktails and bottled beer.
