CHANGE OF USE FROM MERIDIAN TO FISH RESTAURANT and then to Indian Cafe then to flats
This is the original description:
Originally two cottages, the internal layout has not changed since. Entering by way of the splendid half-glazed door with its two brass rails, the visitor sees an attractive black and white tiled floor bar area with low-ceilinged rooms off, comprising a public bar with pool,
a smaller basic room for darts and an even smaller room with the rare sight of bar skittles. Rear lounge, with leather settles, coal burning stove and piano. Original etched windows and wooden benches. The original bell pushes which were used to summon service are still in evidence throughout, and still function,
although they are often unplugged to avoid the landlady being plagued by the insatiably
curious, or late night humorists.
The Meridian is a friendly and community-based basic town local. Its beer is served in oversize lined glasses, to guarantee you a full pint. A rare Cheshire outlet for Theakstons Mild. Well kept too. GBG
