Described in the 1991 East London & City Beer Guide as: "A Finch's pub. Modern two-tiered pub with a military theme as the name suggests, with a display of sabres a point of interest. The downstairs bar can double as a function room and this is where the dartboards are located. Weekly discos and jukebox provide the music. Snacks at all times and hot food lunchtimes. Open 11-11 Monday to Friday but closed at weekends." Was demolished as part of the Paternoster Square/St Pauls redevelopment c.1999
