Basic, single roomed local - friendly, but no frills aside from comfortable seating. The pub name relates to the adjacent felt hat factory, long closed. The jukebox or TV can dominate on occasions. Separate darts and pool room, and an enclosed beer garden to the rear. Pool free on Tuesdays. A range of non-alcoholic beers are available. Free parking is possible on nearby streets. Inexpensive rolls are available at lunchtime until sold out.
