Friendly pub on the outskirts of the urban area offering three well-kept beers and excellent value home-cooked meals.
Three distinct areas include the bar, lounge and restaurant, along with a dartboard. A heated covered smoking area with a TV provides a comfortable setting for those inclined to spend their time outside, along with a large beer garden for families to spend time with their children. In summer the beer garden is adorned with a fabulous display of colourful flowers.
Families are welcome in the pub, as are well-behaved dogs.
In the bar, there's a handy collection box for recyclable batteries, printer cartridges and spectacles.
Since opening in 1840, there have been just 19 licensees with a long succession being local brewers, of which the Allen family held the record.
Level access from the car park is to the bar only.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
