This Pub is Closed Long Term
NOVEMBER 2021: CLOSED & BOARDED-UP
A refurbishment in July 2016 by new licensees has given the King & Queen, located close to the church in the picturesque centre of town, a new lease of life. The interior has a smart and comfortable feel incorporating a separate restaurant room while still retaining the atmosphere of a cosy old pub with its low beams and wooden flooring. The rear door leads through to a secluded courtyard garden with pergola and wooden seating. Draught keg and bottled beers are promoted with the likes of Curious Brew, Goose Island and BrewDog prominent. The keenly-priced menu includes grilled steaks, burgers and sea bass, children's portions, and booking for Sunday lunch is recommended.
